The Police Employee Group Life Insurance policy provides a complete life insurance cover.

The policy provides non-sworn members with:

  • 24 hour worldwide cover.
  • A lump sum benefit in the event of your death.
  • Administered by Police Welfare Fund Insurances Limited, the cover is underwritten by AIA New Zealand, one of the world's leading insurance companies.

Death Benefit

24-hour cover. In the event of your death the benefit set out under Benefits Payable is provided.

Life or Terminal Illness Benefit

A Life Benefit is payable upon the death or Diagnosis of a Terminal Illness of the Insured Person.

Premium Rate

$6.00 per fortnight.

Term of Cover

Unless terminated prior, cover ceases for all Insured Persons on their 65th birthday or their last day of duty in the New Zealand Police.
